Mrs. Roma Balwani has a long-standing tenure as a senior management professional over four decades in the corporate sector serving in the best-in-class companies of the corporate sector in India.

She was for a decade an Independent Director of John Cockerill, India (formerly CMI FPE Ltd.) Chair, CSR & NRC Committees. The company’s first BBSR report last year was published under her guidance and mentorship.

She has been recently inducted into the Board of Godavari Power & Ispat Group and will guide the board deliberations on sustainable best practices in ESG. She chairs the NRC & CSR committees of the board.

Her extensive experience as a leader & part of the top management has taken the Mahindra Rise brand to greater heights ethical & well governed organisation.
She was part of the CSR & Diversity councils at Mahindra.
During her tenure at Mahindra Group, Chairman Anand Mahindra was well positioned as a humane leader and a global statesman.
She is also on the advisory board of Team Lease Edtech.

At Vedanta Roma aligned the group’s communication strategy and Sustainable Development strategy in a socially responsible, ethical and environmentally friendly manner that positively impacts and improves the quality of life of the communities. She has been the member of the Group Executive Committee which comprises the leadership team at Vedanta.

She created the ‘Compassionate Communication’ movement within the PR fraternity during the Covid pandemic.

She has received several prestigious awards and recognition for its outstanding performance and stellar contribution to the PR Industry both in India & globally.

Currently she is the pro bono CEO of Indian Deaf Cricket Association. Her dedication for a social cause such as disability sport is testimony to her passion to promote diversity & inclusion for the hearing-impaired youth community pan India through sportsmanship.
