Aruna Jayanthi is a senior leader in the technology and consulting industry with extensive international experience working across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. She is currently leading Capgemini business in Canada and Latin America and had worked in several management positions in Capgemini, including CEO of Capgemini India, CEO Asia Pacific and Latin America, CEO Business Services. She has been a member of the Group Executive Committee of Capgemini for 14 years. Her focus is on helping clients transform their business using technology, in particular on the topics of Digital Transformation and Strategic Outsourcing.

Aruna joined Capgemini in early 2000 and was part of the core team that initiated and set up the Group’s offshore capabilities. Prior to that, she worked in other Indian companies in the IT services industry. Since 2015, Aruna has been an Independent Director on the Supervisory Board of Compagnie Générale des Établissements Michelin SCA (Michelin Group). She is now serving on the Audit Committee and was formerly a member of the Renumeration and Nomination Committee. In addition, she is also a Board member of Barry Callebaut, in Switzerland since 2024.

She was also an independent director of SBI Capital Markets in India from 2012 to 2016. Aruna has also served on the Executive Council of NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies, India), and was the Chairperson of the Board of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, a leading national Engineering college in India from Nov 2014 for a period of 3 years.

Aruna has a Bachelor of Science (Statistics), from University of Mumbai and a Masters in Management (specialisation in Finance) from NMIMS, University of Mumbai. She has been conferred the prestigious French award of Knight of the Order of the Legion of Honour (Chevalier dans l’Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur).
