Apurva Purohit is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and author with over three decades of experience building, scaling, and transforming organisations across India’s media and consumer landscape. An IIM Bangalore alumna — where she was honoured with the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2022 — she has helmed landmark institutions including Radio City as CEO, where she led its successful stock exchange listing in 2017, and served as President of the Jagran Group, one of India’s largest multimedia conglomerates. She is co-founder of Aazol, a purpose-led social enterprise. Over her illustrious corporate career, she played a pivotal role in founding Lodestar, now one of India’s largest media buying agencies, spearheaded the Times of India Group’s entry into television, and led celebrated turnarounds at Zee TV and Mid-Day. She currently serves as an independent director on the boards of LTIMindtree, L&T Technology Services, Navin Fluorine International, and Marico.

Beyond the boardroom, Apurva is a powerful voice for gender equity, inclusive leadership, and women’s empowerment in the workplace. She is the author of two national bestselling books — Lady, You’re Not a Man and Lady, You’re the Boss! — which have inspired thousands of women professionals across India to claim their rightful place in leadership.
